Drop the Hammer Auctions llc. main focus is Hi Performance Automotive parts and accessories, Racing Equipment, Race Cars, Race Team surplus items, warehouse overstock / closeouts, and Equipment along with automotive collectible items. We do take in small consignments, but we are selective with what we take in. We do not accept yard-sale items, or items of that nature, etc

.

How do I consign items to sell?

The process is simple. The first step is a phone call 219-213-2608 or email submission form on the contact page, put in the subject line “SELLING” and we will respond to your inquiry. We will ask you to briefly describe your situation and items that you would like to Sell. Drop the Hammer Auctions can come pickup your items within a reasonable distance or you can bring them to us. 

 

Monthly 3-Day Online Consignment Sale

 

We are always taking consignments for auctions!

 

Online Only Auctions (OLO) – This is our most common auction format. An online only auction is a timed auction format where all the bidding takes place on our website. There is no live auction or live bidders. Bidders can inspect items at the preview times, place all their bids online, and then pick their items up at the designated removal times. We also offer shipping options for these sales and all of our other auctions too.

 

Drop-off: we take drop-off consignments for our Monthly Consignment Auctions, but space must be reserved for these sales prior to dropping off. We work on a sliding scale commission rate as follows: $1-$1,500- 25%, $1,501-$3,000-18%, $3,001-$6,000-12%, $6,001-$10,000-5%. There is also a $100 no sale fee for any item with a reserve that does not sell.

 

Our Online Monthly Consignment Auctions are “No Reserve” with the exception of higher dollar items, and will be marked with has reserve on that item page, and when reserve is met it will say reserve has been met. This means that general items will sell with no minimum bid.
